one day i went walking just to feel some peace
to clear away my troubles and put my mind at ease
as i walked along, some flowers caught my eye
full of vibrant colors and reaching toward the sky
a rose so red and pUre, a daisy pink and true
but the one i really noticed was a little flower of blue
it wasn't the biggest, in fact it was hard to see
but the very thing i loved was its simplicity
as I watChed this flower suddenly i thought
of the lessons we can learn from a forget-me-not

but i need my heavenly father, so i bow my head to pray
i've faced so much alreaDy and yet more lies ahead
and i have felt the pain in all the tears i've shed
hoping i can find an answer i raise my head up
there upOn the windowsill is a flower in a cup
that little blue flower is the perfect thing to find
it brings these simple words of comfort to my mind
